Paul Percy Harris (April 19,1868 - January 27, 1947) is the founder of the great Rotary Club. He was a Chicago, Illinois attorney who started the club which later became the humanitarian organisation Rotary international in 1905. It was initially an organisation to bring about people to make positive changes in the society, then later on , it became a N.G.O(Non-Governmental-Organisation) with neighbours, friends, leaders, and problem-solvers who see a world where people unite and take action to create lasting change - across the globe, in our communities, and in ourselves.

Paul Percy Harris was a great man who will always be remembered in the club and internationally for the great impact he made before he departed. Till today in Rotary Club, the Paul Harris Award is still the greatest award which is given to dignified persons who have contributed magnanimously to humanitarian services.
